WANTED: ZONE 23

October 31, 2015 - QSL arrived!
MONGOLIA   JV5A   20M SSB

November 1, 2014

October 27, 2014 - Success! I contacted JV5A (Mongolia) on 20M SSB (yesterday evening). The QRZ profile indicates JV5A is a LOTW user, so I'm hopeful to receive an electronic confirmation for this QSO.

October 19, 2014 - Still waiting on a LOTW QSL from Zone 23.

JU5DX      2011-10-27    13:13 UTC Band: 20M    Mode: SSB

BY4IIG      2013-03-31    12:19 UTC Band: 20M    Mode: USB

June 13, 2014 - I've successfully worked stations in all forty CQ zones from my current location in Silver Spring, Maryland. Thus far, all but one zone has been confirmed. I'm still searching for a QSL from Zone 23 (JU5DX was a successful contact and he's listed as a LoTW user. Alas, no confirmation thus far!)

The ionosphere around the north pole might be staying "charged" as we approach the longest days of the year for North America. Fifteen meters has offered some rare DX propagation to Japan, Asia, Pacific, etc. at all hours. I'm hopeful another opportunity to QSO/QSL with another station in Zone 23 comes along. It would be great to finally confirm this one!

HF operators are lighting up all different spots from Eastern EU and Asiatic RU to JA (2215Z). Except Zone 23.
