Many thanks to Leo (K4KIO) for sending a replacement wire to repair my KIO HEX antenna on 6 Meters. Leo manufactures the KIO HEX which has been a key part of my primary station for several years. The HEX experienced multiple problems this past winter and I was QRT for many months. After some springtime antenna work, every band -- except 6M -- was operational.
Leo was extremely responsive via email (during Memorial Day Weekend) and helped me to trouble shoot. My tests with an antenna analyzer and transceiver indicated a strange problem. It was "odd" because the venter post, coax and other elements of the antenna had just been replaced / repaired. Leo mailed a replacement wire which was installed this morning.
