July 4-5, 2013 - The annual Thirteen Colonies Special Event was a success. Two stations operated from each colony state as well as one representing Independence Hall, Philadelphia, PA.
Update 7/4/13 at 7pm: I successfully contacted ten of the fourteen participating stations (which includes the "bonus" station) as a QRPer today. Almost there!
Update 7/5/13 at 8pm: Clean Sweep! I just made a QSO with K2B (Virginia). This was the last remaining station needed to wrap up the competition this summer. I spent much of the day listening (and watching the DX Cluster) for K2B. Then, I just "stumbled" upon the station as he started operating this evening in 40 Meters. All of Thirteen "original colony" and WM3PEN stations were successfully contacted using 10 watts or less with my portable transceiver.
