QRP in the Backyard

August 1, 2013 - The bands looked a little more active this afternoon, so I went outside after appointments earlier today. I heard some strong signals from the Central US which surprised me given a tweet last night from DDWatch (Bad news! SSN decreased from 105 to 94. http://dxwatch.com Jul 31 2013 10:30 PM from dxwatch.com). I felt a bit tired, so I didn't bother trying to make any contacts. I just spent time listening. Clouds are rolling back in to the DC Metro. More rain is here!
