The Coast Guard Amateur Radio Club was operating K1CG last weekend. Multiple operators used this call for a Special Event commemoration of the USCG's 223rd Anniversary today (Sunday August 4, 2013). I chatted with Bill who was the control operator staffing the station in Key West, FL. Nice contact with less than 5 watts!
